Fragrance-free scalp serums: a clearer shortlist

Look beyond the word “parfum” when you compare leave-in products.

The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density, 60 ml amber bottle with a white dropper and teal-accented label.
THE USEFUL TAKEAWAY

Our filter treats aromatic essential oils as a scent consideration too. “No added parfum” is not the same as a guarantee that a formula will suit sensitive skin.

What our filter means

The finder’s scent filter is based on the published lists checked for this site. It excludes formulas with listed parfum or intentionally aromatic essential oils. This is a shopping classification, not a medical certification or a guarantee of zero scent.

The Ordinary, Neurogan, the Reviv base serum and The INKEY List are the options in our directory without those listed scent ingredients. They still differ substantially: only some contain copper peptides, and one contains no named cosmetic peptide.

Why “natural scent” still counts

Divi’s formula lists tea tree, peppermint and eucalyptus oils. A shopper who wants to avoid aromatic ingredients may care about those even if they are not grouped under the word fragrance. That is why our comparison highlights them explicitly.

This does not mean an aromatic formula is unsuitable for everyone. It means a meaningful preference should be easy to apply without reading a dozen product descriptions. If you have a diagnosed allergy, check the exact label with a qualified professional rather than relying on our broad filter.

Do one more check before ordering

Ingredient lists can vary with reformulation and region. Open the selected pack’s page, compare it with any list you already rely on, and check the bottle when it arrives. Do not assume that a different size, updated version or optional booster has the identical composition. A clear return policy is useful when buying a new routine without hands-on experience.
